An enticing pottery Modern design by Victoria Littlejohn, hand thrown Dish with a wonderful neutral oatmeal color glaze with a central red orange thick crystalline glaze surrounded by a crimped wall. Possibly designed as an ashtray considering the time executed,1970s. In perfect order, signed in the clay on the bottom Littlejohn and V-8.
Victoria Littlejohn produced both production and one-of-a-kind work. Her one of a kind pieces were made using stoneware or earthenware. While at the Beatrice Wood Center for the Arts, Littlejohn worked with terra cotta.
At the University of Southern California, Littlejohn studied pottery with F. Carlton Ball and Susan Petersen before going on to study with Peter Voulkos and Marguerite Wildenhain.
Measurements: 8 3/4 inches diameter x 1 1/4 inches high
