350These paintings were sold to tourists in the 1950s through the 1970s and depicted “life in the bush ” at the time. They were normally from the Congo but also were painted and sold in neighboring countries. These artists painted in a simple naive format but with incredible sense of shape and color. Very stylized, colorful and Modernist. In Very Good Condition, vibrant colors, no foxing. Light discoloration on the edges from where they were matted. Mounted on cardboard. All signed by artists lower right.
Measurements: Pair each: 9 3/4 inches high x 12 3/4 inches wide. Long painting: 6 3/8 inches high x 19 1/2 inches wide.
