Organic Mid Century Modern textured Italian Pottery cylindrical vase attributed to Aldo Londi. Made by Fratelli Fanciullacci in the early 1960s. With glossy glazed squares in yellow, pink, orange, red, green and shades of blues on an unglazed clay brown textured body. In Very Good condition with no damages. ITALY incised on bottom.
Bitossi bought Fratelli Fanciullacci after the war and allowed the family to continue making their own wares with not much interference. A devastating flood in 1966 destroyed the factory which was rebuilt but quality suffered and finally the company closed in 1988.
Measurements: 8 inches tall x 4 inches diameter x 3 1/4 inches at opening
