More known as Cseko, Csekovszky Arpad 1931-1997, the noted Hungarian artist was famous for these ceramic or pottery wall hangings in relief of village scenes. Their three dimensional form is exciting and alluring. Wired for hanging. Csekovszky Árpád was a sculptor and ceramist. He graduated at the Hungarian College of Applied Arts with a degree in Ceramics. From the beginning, he made custom-made ceramics connected to buildings. For decades he was a head of department teacher. His name is also borne by the Budapest Cultural House. Can be hung on the wall but is also substantial and stable enough to be used freestanding on a mantle or somewhere similar. Side “IPARMUVESZETI VALLALAT” Label reads: Zuri Szam 127469 and Fogy Ar 924- (the jury label of the Applied Arts Company).
Measurements: 12 3/8 inches wide x 12 1/4 inches high x 3 inches deep.
