Description

Finely detailed Figurative French Bronze D’Ore Desktop Writing Organizer featuring a Fishing Boy in a natural setting exhibiting marsh and riverside plants.  With an oval marble base, there is a pen holder as a stump and a card or match holder as reeds.  There also appears to be a small hole that held an ink holder.  Quite decorative and finely rendered and chased.  Boy angling with fishing rod with line.  Unsigned.  This is a 19th Century French Bronze D’Ore Ink Stand and Pen Holder/Rest.

Measurements: 5 inches  x  3 inches  x  4 1/2 inches high to top of fishing pole.
