Description

Five etchings by L. Meslay (French) of European cityscapes from the early 20th. Century, probably 1920s. Each with city locale and named building. All five signed L. Meslay on lower right some in pencil others in ink. All with MADE IN FRANCE stamp in ink on verso.
Condition: London, The Guildhall (sepia/off-white/blue/pink) – Discoloration right edge.__- Stradford-on-Avon, The Shakespeare’s school (sepia /offwhite /blue /green /pink) – Both upper corners with damages, all edges with discolorartion and rips or with very minor pieces missing.__- Edinburg, John Knox’s house (sepia) – Discoloration along all edges. __- Paris, Le Quai aux Fleurs (sepia/off-white) – Minor discoloration lower left edge.__ -Reims, La Cathédrale (sepia/ off-white) – Upper left corner missing, upper right corner and right edge discolored and one rip mid right edge.
Fair condition. Folds, fading on edges but main center scene good for framing.
