Vintage painting titled CACHITA from 1997 by Hector CATÁ, Cuban-American artist. Oil on canvas panel painting depicting a wide eye young girl with bows on the hair on a deep blue (almost black) background. Bows and ribbons in white, turquoise and terracota.
Signed: CATÁ 97 lower right corner – On verso CACHITA Miami 97 CATÁ and CATÁ paper label

Condition: Very Good. No issues.
Hector Cata born in 1947 Havana, Cuba – died Miami 2024. In 1972 Cata graduated from San Alejandro Escuela Nacional de Bellas Arts, prestigious fine arts school in Cuba. After graduation became an art teacher at San Alejandro. Also known for designing posters during “the golden age” of Cuban posters. His work can be found in numerous public and private collections.
