Description

Fine and beautiful rosewood desk designed by Svend Aage Madsen in Denmark. With a floating style top over three drawers left and right and a pass through shelf, front to back. The back side with a deep shelf for books or whatnot. Supported on sinuous shaped stylized D legs. The desk also has a foil tag from Povl Dinesen, a noted Danish cabinetmaker and each drawer bottom has the mark for Sigurd Hansen as well as Svend A Madsen. With heavily figured rosewood, it has its original finish with slight signs of age and appropriate wear. Each bottom drawer, left and right, with a tiny veneer chip (see close-up pics).
