REDUCED FROM $3,250….Exquisite carving and detail highlight this pair of Italian Baroque silver gilt corner altar prickets as table lamps. Heavily carved and finished on one side, they were intended to be seen only from the front, hence corner pieces. Pleasingly incorporating many ornamental elements including garlands, C scrolls and acanthus. Tri-part in form, the backs are uncarved and simply gessoed. Leaf artisan restored. Evidence of old woodworm on back. Rewired, three way socket. Just add your shades. Absolutely exquisite and elegant. Northern Italy, Florentine. Outstanding antique beauties!
