Description

Set of 4 Swedish Modern Stoneware Candleholders by Karin Björquist  for Gustavsberg from the 1970s.  Simple well designed cylindrical candle holder in their natural clay with  glossy black dots on the outside. Condition very good with some discoloration on area, glaze skips and one has a scratch on the inside border. Please look at all images.

Measurements: 3  1/4 inches diameter  x 1  3/8 inches high

Karin Björquist ( 1927-2018) was a Swedish ceramist that was employed by Gustavsberg for 40 years.  Some of Bjorquist’s creations are part of the collection of the Swedish National Museum of Art & Design
