A framed 1967 Oil on Canvas Painting titled “Theoretical Maximum” by Indianapolis artist Steve Redman (born 1944). Redman received a scholarship and studied in the summer of 1965 at the Woodstock location of the Art Students League of New York. The following summer he received a grant to study in Provincetown before furthering his studies, ultimetly receiving his MFA from Indiana University. This expressive Abstract Expressionist style depicts a geometric composition of floating cubes. Palette of browns, grays, blues. black and white. Born in Poseyville, Indiana, Steve Redman’s artistic journey began with an unwavering certainty that can only be described as destiny. Redman attended the John Herron Art Institute for his BFA, Indiana University Bloomington for his MFA, and currently owns and operates his business, Redman Art Restoration. His work has been exhibited throughout the wider Indianapolis area, Chicago, New York, Provincetown, and more, receiving numerous accolades.
