Description
Pair of Space Age Mid Century Modern Lotus Armchairs created by Paul Boulva for the Montreal Olympics in 1976 and produced by Artopex of Canada. The chairs sport a chromed metal frame with molded plastic seat with the back and seat upholstered. The chairs are covered in a Boucle fabric of red, purple and beige weave (see close up pic). They are very comfortable because of their design and are stackable.
Stamped on bottom of seat – ARTOPEX – Serie LOTUS Series – Artopex LTEE LTD. – 2121 Berlier Laval Quebec – Fabrique au Canada – Made in Canada
Condition: Completely restored and new upholstery. In some chairs, original fine scratches under the newly painted surfaces could be noticed. Chrome in very good condition with some fine rub marks where seats stacked unto others. No structural damages.
Measurements: 24 inches x 24 inches x 29 3/4 inches high x 19 inches seat (upholstered) x 18 inches (no upholstery).
