Description
Fascinating 1960s Neodymiun Crystal Vase, sometimes called Alexandrite, by Zeleznobrodské Sklo Glassworks, ZBS, in Zelesny Brod, Czechoslovakia. Masterful scalloped rib design with vertical rectangular cuts. Neodymiun dye compounds began to be added to glass products in 1927 producing the effect of color change depending on light source. In natural light it is a light violet shade while going through a color transformation to a light blue shade under ambient lighting. In pristine condition, no issues.
Measurements: 8 1/8 inches high x 4 1/4 diameter mouth x 1 3/4 inches diameter base.
