This bedside / desk  light is made up of a circular steel base and two section tubular steel arm which folds and swivels.  The semi spherical red metallic shade holds one 50 w candelabra base (max) and the shade’s position adjusts automatically to whichever position the arm is placed.

Josep Lluscà Martínez (1948) industrial designer that opened a studio in 1972 in Barcelona.

Metalarte was founded in 1932 as a metal workshop and began producing lighting of their own design in the 40s.   Scandinavian design influenced the late 1950s modern designs that became Metalarte’s trademark. A few years later, they commenced to employ well known industrial designers to create lighting for them and Llusca was one of them.
