Description

Classic urn shaped and with 50s period dribble glaze decoration, this massive 1956 Carstens pottery floor vase is a delight. Grey glazed exterior with white and yellow squiggles and an interior black gun metal glaze. Scale is wonderful. Embossed in the clay underneath with Carstens mark, 497/50 and Germany.
