Description
Mid-Century Modern textured Italian pottery Vase made by Fratelli Fanciullacci in the early 1960s. With a glossy Rimini Blue glaze over incised clay stamped with Aldo Londi’s iconic round circles and heavy ribbed bands in blue black glaze. Terracotta bottom. Very good condition with no issues.
Measurements: 14 inches high x 5 inches diameter at widest.
Bitossi bought Fratelli Fanciullacci after the war and allowed the family to continue making their own wares with not much interference. A devastating flood in 1966 destroyed the factory which was rebuilt but quality suffered and finally the company closed in 1988.
