SOLD Italian Mid Century Modern Faux Tortoiseshell Footed Blown Glass Bowl and large Charger from the late 1960s early 1970s.
The Tartaruga (tortoise ) pattern in the footed bowl and charger have beautiful deep Topaz and Amber coloring resembling the popular items made from turtle shells very popular in the late 19h century in Europe. Many of these modern glass pieces were manufactured in the region of Empoli outside Florence Italy.
Measurements: BOWL – 8 inches diameter x 6 1/4 inches high PLATTER – 14 inches diameter x 1 inch high
The platter with no condition issues and the bowl is slightly slanted when the foot and bowl were set together. Look at all images.
