Combination of matte & glossy white glazing makes this modern and beautiful tall Vase much more interesting. The band of matte white in the center front and back has a raised decoration of bubbles reminiscent of the work of Tapio Wirkkala for Rosenthal in 1960s and 70s. Stamped in blue underglaze on the bottom, Naaman Artline exclusive design Made in Israel.
In 1939 the Naaman factory was founded by Ukranian emigre Mordechai Shenhair to supply the nascent State of Israel with bricks for construction of homes for Israel’s rapidly increasing population. In the mid 60s, the Naaman Porcelain was a distributer and importer of dinner services and housewares which could mean that this vase might have been produced by a German manufacturer for export. The Naaman Porcelain company is still in business today.
