Description
Great Modern 1958 set of 3 Mid Century Jopeko Keramik crinckled Lava glaze ceramic pieces, consisting of one large vase and a pair of smaller complimentary vases. All covered in a white crinkled lava glaze on a dark brown background with a decoration of 3 dots on each side in yellow, blue and burgundy. Very quaint!
All 3 in very good condition, no issues. Marked on the bottom: large – 521/22 GERMANY – small – illegible
Jopeko Keramik was founded in 1948 by Johann Peter Korzilius, hence the name, the first two letters of the founders full name. This family run business still exists today in the town of Ransbach-Baumbach, Germany. Jopeko always used white clay.
