Per Linnemann Schmidt (1912-1999) was a Danish sculpture by academics who designed and produced high quality ceramics with the opening in 1947 of his atelier Palshus Stentøj, with his wife Annelise. The early production was of simple undecorated forms with a hard matte glaze mostly in earth tones. Around 1957, the studio started producing an organic chamotte stoneware with incised geometric designs with a high gloss glaze, again in earth tones. The atelier closed in 1972, three years after Annelise’s death.
