Lovely Organic Mid Century Modern Oak Weed Pot by American Master woodturner Rude Osolnik (1915-2001). Signed in pencil (a little hard to read) on botton: Osolnik Original Oak. In very good condition with no issues. Smooth and tactile piece of art!

Rude Osolnik was born in New Mexico and moved to Kentucky in 1937 to direct the Industrial Arts Program of Brea College. His creations were made from a variety of woods, turned on the lathe to maximize the inherent facegrain and endgrain of the wood.

Osolnik is represented in many museuns and institutions, including Atlanta’s High Museum, Boston Museum of Fine Arts, Renwick Gallery of the Smithsonian among many.
