Description
Vladislav Urban, born 1937 Pilsen, Czechoslovakia, is a glass and jewelry designer. Urban, among others, was instrumental in the evolution of Czech pressed lead glass production. This midcentury modern lovely heavy aquamarine pressed glass vase (#617/13) manufactured at Sklo Union Rosice in 1968, has an abstract design of circles and intersecting lines that terminated as protrusions in the vase.
During the Communist era, glass production was delegated to Czechoslovakia while the making of ceramics and pottery was assigned to Hungary.
