With the design for the Rosenthal Studio Linie The Magic Flute, the Danish artist Björn Winblad in 1968, created one of the most splendid shapes and forms a porcelain set can achieve. Excerpts of the opera text are inscribed in gold on the bottom of the line dishes and other pieces. Besides the matte reliefs, the remaining body of the pieces have a glossy white glaze. The Magic Flute pattern is one of the most sought after and valuable dinnerware made by Rosenthal.
