Description

An Aldo Londi CINESE Series Vessel Retailed by Rosenthal Netter and produced by Italian manufacturer Bitossi. This mid century modern line of pottery vessels and figures, Cinese was produced with a textured Etruscan Salt Glaze which produced a rough Lava exterior. The blue-green colored glazed and gilt painted bands were used to simulate ancient Chinese bronze vessels.
Here you have the perfect example of this Series, a covered urn or container with a gilt glaze on the tapered base in a typical Chinese form. Brutal and elegant at the same time, this vessel is to be enjoyed in any setting.
